Breastfeeding training

• Shahid Mostafa Khomeini Hospital is one of the hospitals with a child-friendly hospital plaque.

• The hospital has a completely separate gynecology and obstetrics clinic where the breastfeeding counseling unit is located.

• The daily breastfeeding counseling unit is open at the same time as the women’s clinics

• Pregnant mothers 20 to 37 weeks visit the gynecology clinic for 4 sessions breastfeeding counseling is ordered by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.

• Breastfeeding counseling for each mother is done individually based on the breastfeeding form.

• Supplementary breastfeeding training on the day of mother’s discharge and delivery of a healthy generation booklet with breast milk
